<image:caption>Pixel Vortex is an ethereal temple of play — a bioluminescent dreamscape of flying pixels. Upon squeezing through any of the multitude of openings of Osmos Pavilion you are immediately bombarded with LED balloons whirling in a powerful vortex of wind. Visitors can gaze through an OLED screen window into the inflatable dance party, press their hands into pin screens, and see the entire installation transform into the colour of their aura a photograph is then snapped of this moment and given as a surprise gift when the person leaves the installation. <image:title>Projects - PHAEDRA | Opera | Happy Days International Beckett Festival, Enniskillen, N. Ireland</image:title>
<image:caption>Benjamin Britten’s suicidal anti-heroine Phaedra is an anguished monologue, sung by Ruby Philogene recalling the events and repercussions of her lustful and fatal existence. Directed by Sophie Hunter and performed with the Ulster Orchestra, Phaedra was a unique operatic experience at the abandoned Necarne Castle. The audience wandered through the deserted horse stables before emerging into the horse arena to discover Phaedra, epic in scale, towering above. As she sang, the stage slowly turned, the transformation continuing as the dress slowly dissolved and disintegrated as Medea’s lethal poison seeped into the fated heroine. <image:title>Projects - CHRISTO & JEANNE-CLAUDE: THE FLOATING PIERS | Art Installation | Lake Iseo, Italy</image:title>
<image:caption>The Floating Piers was a reimagining of Italy’s Lake Iseo by artists Christo and Jeanne-Claude July 18 - July 3, 2016. Visitors were able to experience the artwork by walking across 3 kilometres of water over interconnected floating piers. Visitors would feel the undulating movement of the surface of water as the piers rose and fell with the waves. “Those who experienced The Floating Piers felt like they were walking on water – or perhaps the back of a whale,” said Christo. “The light and water transformed the bright yellow fabric to shades of red and gold throughout the sixteen days.” There were over 500 workers from across Europe monitoring the piers 24hrs a day by boat, through the towns, and on the pier itself.
